Manage your network

Notes & tags

Capture notes (including voice notes) on anyone you know, and organize your network with color-coded tags.

Notes come in three types — general, meeting and call — and can be typed or dictated as voice notes, then edited or deleted at any time. Tags carry a name, a colour and an optional description, and can be applied or removed on a single contact or in bulk across a selection. You can filter your contact list by tag, and manage every tag in Settings.

Notes

Notes are how you remember the context that isn't in anyone's inbox — what you discussed, what they're looking for, who to keep them away from. Open a contact and add a note from their detail panel.

  • Give a note a type — general, meeting, or call — so you can tell at a glance what it captures.
  • Notes appear in the contact's activity timeline alongside meetings and emails, newest first.
  • You can edit or delete any note you've added.

Voice notes

Just got out of a meeting? Tap the microphone and dictate the note instead of typing. NetworkOS transcribes what you say into the note so you can capture context hands-free while it's fresh.

Tags

Tags are a flexible way to group your network however you think about it — "portfolio", "LPs", "warm intros", "met at summit". Each tag has a name and a color, and an optional description so its meaning stays clear over time.

  • Create and edit tags as you go, or manage them all in Settings.
  • Apply one or more tags to a contact from their detail panel.
  • Filter the contacts list by tag to pull up everyone in a group.

Tagging in bulk

Select multiple contacts on the contacts page and apply — or remove — a tag across all of them at once. This pairs well with a search or import: find or bring in a batch, select them, and tag the whole group in one action.

Common questions

Can I dictate a note instead of typing it?
Yes. Notes support voice input, so you can dictate straight after a call or meeting rather than typing. The note is saved to the contact like any other and can be edited or deleted afterwards.
What is the difference between the note types?
Notes are typed as general, meeting or call. The type is a label that makes the activity timeline easier to scan, letting you tell a meeting write-up apart from a quick observation at a glance.
Can I tag many contacts at once?
Yes. Select multiple contacts and apply or remove a tag across the whole selection in one action. You can also tag every contact in an import as it runs, which is the fastest way to label a batch.
Where do I rename or delete a tag?
In Settings. Tag management lives there, and changes apply everywhere the tag is used. Each tag has a name, a colour and an optional description to explain what it is for.
