Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

networkos ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

We believe in transparency and giving you control over your data. We only collect what we need to provide our service, and we never sell your personal information to third parties.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Professional title and company (optional)
  • Profile information you choose to provide

Connected Account Data

When you connect your Google account, we access:

  • Contacts — names and email addresses from your Google Contacts, used to populate your relationship graph.
  • Calendar events — meeting titles, attendees, and times to understand who you regularly meet with.
  • Email threads we send on your behalf — when you ship an introduction or recommendation request through networkos, we read the reply thread for that specific message so we can track responses. We never read your inbox at large. We never read threads we did not originate.
  • No message content is stored — content we read for reply tracking is processed transiently and discarded. We do not persist the body of any email message in our systems.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use our platform:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed)
  • Usage patterns to improve our service

Google API Services & Limited Use

networkos's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy — mapping your network, tracking replies to messages you send through networkos, and making introductions on your behalf.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide these features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless you have given us explicit permission, it is necessary for security or legal compliance, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Map your professional network and identify introduction opportunities
  • Generate AI-powered matches between your contacts and portfolio companies
  • Send you service-related communications
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
  • Protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
  • OAuth tokens for connected accounts are stored with encryption
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Access controls and audit logging for all data access
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance (in progress)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers — with vendors who help us operate our platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery)
  • Legal Requirements — when required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • With Your Consent — when you explicitly authorize us to share information

AI Assistant Connectors

networkos offers an optional connector that lets you work with your network from third-party AI assistants — currently Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI). Connecting one is entirely your choice and requires you to authorize it through OAuth; you can disconnect at any time from the assistant's connector settings, which revokes its access.

When you connect an assistant and ask it to act on your network, the specific data needed to answer that request — for example, the contacts, companies, or introductions matching your prompt — is sent to that assistant's provider so it can respond. We send only what a given request needs, and only while a connector is active. Data sent to Claude or ChatGPT is then handled under that provider's own privacy policy. We never share your data with these providers unless you have connected them yourself.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Correct — update inaccurate information
  • Delete — request deletion of your data
  • Export — receive your data in a portable format
  • Disconnect — revoke access to connected accounts at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@thenetworkos.com.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell cookie data. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
