Importing your contacts

Build your relationship graph from Gmail, Calendar, Google Contacts, and LinkedIn — and watch the sync run.

Where your contacts come from

NetworkOS builds one unified graph from several sources so you don't have to maintain a contact list by hand:

  • Google Contacts — names and email addresses you've saved.
  • Gmail — the people you actually correspond with, which is a strong signal of relationship strength.
  • Google Calendar — who you meet with and how often.
  • LinkedIn — your professional connections, added via a CSV export or the browser extension.

How the sync builds your graph

After you connect Google, a background pipeline runs in four phases: it imports from Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts in parallel, then deduplicates people who appear in more than one source, then enriches each contact with company and role details, then classifies them so search and matching are accurate.

Adding LinkedIn contacts

Gmail and Calendar cover the people you talk to, but your LinkedIn connections fill in everyone else. Import them with a CSV export:

  1. Export your connections from LinkedIn

    In LinkedIn, go to Settings → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data, and request your Connections. LinkedIn emails you a CSV.

  2. Upload the CSV to NetworkOS

    Open the import screen and drop in the CSV. NetworkOS auto-detects the columns (name, company, title, profile URL).

  3. Review and import

    Confirm the column mapping and import. New people are added and anyone already in your graph is merged, not duplicated.

NetworkOS handles both a plain connections CSV and a full LinkedIn data ZIP export, and uses AI to map columns when a file doesn't match the usual format — so odd exports still import cleanly. You can also apply tags to everyone in an import as it runs.

Deduplication

The same person often shows up across sources — a Gmail thread, a calendar invite, and a LinkedIn connection. NetworkOS merges these into a single contact so your graph stays clean. Merges combine the data from each source into one profile.
