What is NetworkOS?

NetworkOS is a relationship CRM for people whose work involves making introductions. It is published at thenetworkos.com and operated by Redwood Advisory Services LLC.

It reads your Gmail, Calendar and LinkedIn to learn who you know and how well. When you describe someone you need, it finds the people in your own network who fit, drafts the double opt-in introduction, and sends it from your inbox.

Re-import your LinkedIn connections and NetworkOS tells you which of your contacts changed jobs since the last import, then drafts the congratulations for you to review and send.

What it does
NetworkOS reads your Gmail, Calendar and LinkedIn to build a picture of who you know and how well. You describe a need in plain English. It finds the people in your own network who fit, drafts the double opt-in introduction in your voice, sends it from your own Gmail, and watches for the replies.
Who it is for
Startup advisors, angel investors, fractional executives, consultants and small VC firms. The common thread is that part of your value to other people is who you can introduce them to.
Where it runs
In a browser at thenetworkos.com, as a Chrome extension, and as a connector inside Claude and ChatGPT, where you can search your network and start an introduction without leaving the conversation.
What it costs
99 US dollars per user per month, after a 14-day free trial.
What it is not
It is not a sales CRM. There is no pipeline, no deal stages and no close date, because an advisory relationship has no close. It also does not track advisory equity, vesting or engagement terms.

The name is not unique, so this page states plainly which product this is.

  • A network operating system is the software that runs a router or a switch, such as Cisco NX-OS or Juniper Junos OS. That is a different category and is unrelated to this product.
  • Collaboration.Ai publishes an enterprise product also called NetworkOS, aimed at defense and government teams. Separate company, separate product.

Common questions

What is NetworkOS?

NetworkOS is a relationship CRM for people whose work involves making introductions. It is published at thenetworkos.com.

It connects to Gmail, Calendar and LinkedIn, builds a record of who you know and how recently you spoke, finds the people in your network who fit a need you describe, and runs the double opt-in introduction from your own inbox. It also flags relationships that have gone quiet so you can reconnect before they go cold.

It is built for startup advisors, angel investors, fractional executives and small VC firms. It is Google-only today.

Who makes NetworkOS?

NetworkOS is built and operated by Redwood Advisory Services LLC, a company registered in the United States.

It was built by a post-exit SaaS founder and former YPO member who was making introductions by hand after Forum and Chapter meetings, and wanted the double opt-in to stop being the reason those introductions never happened.

The canonical domain is thenetworkos.com. The product is at www.thenetworkos.com and the application runs at beta.thenetworkos.com.

Is NetworkOS the same as other products called NetworkOS?

No. Several unrelated things share the name.

A network operating system, in the networking-hardware sense, is the software that runs a router or a switch. Examples include Cisco NX-OS and Juniper Junos OS. That is a different category entirely and has nothing to do with this product.

Collaboration.Ai publishes an enterprise product also called NetworkOS, aimed at defense and government teams. It is a separate company and a separate product.

Other domains use similar names, including my-network-os.com and network-os.com. None of them are affiliated with us.

Is NetworkOS a personal CRM?

It belongs to the personal CRM family, but it is narrower than most of that category.

Tools like Dex, Clay and Monica are built to remind you to stay in touch. NetworkOS does that too, and then owns the step most of them stop at: finding who fits a need, drafting the ask, sending it, and following up until someone replies.

If your work is staying in touch, a reminder-style personal CRM is probably a better fit. If your work is the introduction, this is built for that job.

Does NetworkOS tell me when someone in my network changes jobs?

Yes. Re-import your LinkedIn connections and NetworkOS compares them with your previous import.

The people you are closest to who moved become suggested catch-ups, flagged New role, with the first email already drafted as a congratulations that you edit and send from your own Gmail. Everyone else who moved is listed in a summary email, and each contact keeps a Role history of the changes NetworkOS has observed.
